Beveled glass and mirrors beats plain old flat glass and mirrors for style every day of the week. Beveled glass starts out as a piece of really thick glass and then running a machine over the edges that has a set of wheels that basically trim the glass into custom cuts as they travel over the glasses surface. The first one makes a deep cut and then each wheel after than makes a smaller and smaller cut (trim work) to give the glass and mirrors not only a unique shape and style, but also angled reflective properties much the same as when a diamond is cut to reflect light in multiple directions. And let's face it. There is not a woman in the world who would be happy if the man she loved showed up with a square diamond the shape of a miniature brink that had only a flat reflection. The reality is that if you are like most people you will love the flash and sparkle of beveled glass. Beveled glass can be used almost anywhere because it is both thick and sturdy from glass doors, to table tops, doors... well you name it. And beveled mirrors would look great on the wall (like in the picture above). |
